Birchwood Business Park
Situated in the heart of Birchwood's thriving business community, the Birchwood Business Chaplaincy works with individuals and companies to provide a listening ear and support to people of all faiths or none.
The MitE Chaplains at Birchwood Park are available to support people at different times during the week. Look out for them @The Centre and go and have a chat!
If you think that MitE chaplains can help your business, or if you would like to talk to a chaplain then please do get in touch.
MitE were privileged to provide a chaplaincy team as support to the Hillsborough Inquests which were held at Birchwood Park and concluded in April 2016. Chaplains were available throughout the Inquests to meet with those attending in an informal setting and offer support during the difficult and lengthy process. Warrington Retail Market
MitE has provided chaplaincy to Warrington market for well over a decade. Mavis McDonnell is out chaplain in Warrington Market. Mavis was in the old Market for many years but took a break when the temporary Market opened. Coming back, Mavis is working with Anita, the Regional Volunteer Coordinator, to build a team of chaplains.
We are hoping to recruit a small team of local volunteers to provide chaplaincy to the market on an ongoing basis. Are you part of a church in Warrington? Could you provide a friendly listening ear to market traders and visitors? Would you like free training in providing workplace chaplaincy? If so we'd love to speak to you.
Annie Houghton is the Chaplain to Golden Square Shopping Centre.
As Chaplain Annie enjoys meeting with people from all walks of life. She is there for everyone - shoppers and traders alike. She is usually around Tuesdays and Thursday, but can be contacted through the link below.
Her role in Golden Square is to provide a listening ear, to be a friend to all and somebody you can share the ups and downs of life with and know that, as somebody completely impartial, you will be treated with respect, honesty and fairness.
As a Chaplain people can tell me anything that they may be worried about and open up to me in ways they may not be able to with friends and family; offering a safe space, a listening ear and a strong shoulder onto which people can unburden themselves. When other sources of caring and listening are overwhelmed by other commitments of their work a Chaplain can fill the gaps and catch those people who may fall by the wayside.
