Warrington Market Named One of UK's Best!

Warrington Market has been named one of the best in the UK at an award ceremony held in Birmingham. The Great British Market Awards put markets up against each other in a competition run by the National Association of British Market Authorities. Warrington won the 'best Love Your Local Market event' category and was praised for introducing history tours, karaoke, special offers and a special comic convention. It was called an 'outstanding success' and an 'example' for others to learn from. Leeds Market was named overall winner by the general public but the fact that Warrington's efforts have been recognised has been well received. Deputy council leader Mike Hannon was thrilled by the news and said 'We've known all along that Warrington is one of the country's best - now the rest of the country knows it too.'
